A Milestone worth celebrating

This year marks an incredible milestone as I step into the 40-Club (yes, I’m an ’80s baby!), and what a journey it has been! Coming from humbling beginnings and a lineage rich with history, I find it fitting to share my story during this month of reflection and celebration of my roots.

Humble Beginnings That Shaped Me

I grew up in a single-parent household, and we were poor. My mom worked miracles with what she had. At one point, six of us (including my cousin and aunt) shared the same bed, and I continued sharing a room with my sisters all the way through college. Looking back over these 40 years, I can’t help but recognize how blessed I have been. God has surrounded me with incredible friends, family, teachers, and mentors, and along the way, I even reconnected with my father (the best dad I could have asked for). Every lesson learned from those early days has shaped me into who I am today.

The Power of People and Connection

I am, and always will be, in the people business. That’s my passion. I’ve been married for 10 years to the most amazing wife and have shared over 16 years of friendship with her. I mentor and coach couples, kids, athletes, and entrepreneurs. I actively serve in my church, coordinating and managing events that bring thousands of people together. And six years ago, I embarked on an incredible journey with my business partner, Mark Rhyman, to build ERP Success Partners, our baby!

A Business Built on Passion and Purpose

What makes ESP special to me is the deep connection I feel with everyone in the company. Watching our team grow, learn, and take on the impossible together is inspiring. I love those one-on-one conversations where they share their stories, fears, and aspirations. Those spontaneous Teams calls just to check in? They mean the world to me. Taking a few moments of my crazy schedule to check on my colleagues has created a deep sense of responsibility to give my best for them.

Lessons in Gratitude and Growth

When I reflect on where this passion for people comes from, it all ties back to my some of my core values. Growing up with nothing teaches you to appreciate everything. Not having much teaches you to value what you do have and to hold onto it dearly. It also teaches you to share, to care, and to lift others up.

Success Is About People, Not Just Profits

As an entrepreneur, I firmly believe that success is about the people around you. Your team is your greatest asset. If you take care of them, they will take care of you. The same goes for customers. Working with so many global customers in multiple industries such as Contract Furniture, Manufacturing, F&B, Retail & Distribution and more has taught me so much. I didn’t know much about those at first, but what drove me wasn’t the money or the recognition – it was the sincere desire to help. Because, at the end of the day, caring about others is what matters most. At ERP Success Partners, it’s in our DNA.

Looking Ahead: A Commitment to Serve

So, I’m inviting you to follow me on this journey. This year, I am committed to serving others even more, supporting the Contract Furniture industry, my colleagues, my friends, and everyone I connect with. May my journey be a source of inspiration for you, just as your journey continues to inspire me.

Let’s thrive together!
