NetSuite, Bolstered By Oracle, Infuses Artificial Intelligence Into Its Cloud Portfolio

NetSuite, the Oracle subsidiary that offers popular cloud-based business management solutions for mid-market organizations, unveiled on Tuesday a comprehensive infusion of artificial intelligence across its entire Software-as-a-Service suite.

The pioneering SaaS vendor is looking to differentiate its mid-market business solutions with predictive analytics powered by machine learning.

Oracle Co-CEO Mark Hurd delivered the keynote introducing AI and machine learning capabilities into NetSuite’s ERP, CRM and e-commerce applications at the SuiteWorld conference in Las Vegas.

By embedding AI into its native business intelligence systems, NetSuite will enable customers to draw real-time insights from their business and customer data, automate processes for greater efficiencies, and act on predictive intelligence, Hurd told partners and customers.

Mark Rhyman, managing partner of ERP Success Partners, told CRN he’s thrilled to see the release of advanced capabilities that will further differentiate NetSuite’s cloud-based applications.

After 10 years in the NetSuite ecosystem with a previous channel venture, Rhyman recently launched ERP Success Partners, based in Montreal. He said he’s eager to drive that practice by bringing NetSuite’s latest innovations to his customers.

AI “will be definitively a competitive advantage,” Rhyman said, enabling customers to “compute huge amounts of data in a short amount of time.”
The technology will improve the user experience with dashboard reminders, analytics, reports and many additional features “to better navigate through their day-to-day [activities] by leveraging the AI to bubble up priorities,” he said.

Artificial intelligence will help customers decide what opportunities they should focus on, what processes need more attention on the shop floor, and how to get orders faster to their destinations, Rhyman said.

NetSuite has been growing its footprint since it was acquired by Oracle in 2016, placing sales resources and infrastructure in international markets including Brazil, China, France, Germany, Japan and Mexico.

At the company’s conference this week, NetSuite also released 14 new editions of SuiteSuccess, its pre-configured industry solutions to meet the needs of specific verticals. Rhyman said a major theme of SuiteWorld has been Oracle and NetSuite collaborating more closely with NetSuite Alliance Partners in delivering professional Services, Rhyman told CRN.
